Last Day at Uken

Published in Uken Games

As hard as this is to believe, today marks my last day as a software development intern at Uken Games. Time really did fly by and I must say I am grateful for the experience. I again learned more than I could have imagined when coming into the term. It was a blast and I couldn’t have had such a successful semester without all of the amazing people at Uken.

For my final day, I ended up finishing up some loose ends on some of my recent projects and doing a lot of cleanup to ensure that all my tasks had been re-assigned to some of the guys so that they would be taken care of. I also worked on a few bugs that sprung up in some of the code that I had written that just made it to production. It did feel a little bad to be leaving with some of my code in a less than 100% stable state but I think that the majority of it was wrapped up by the end of the day. I didn’t get a chance to say my goodbyes to everyone that I wanted to and actually ended up slipping out during our weekly demos so that I could catch my train. Luckily I will be seeing everyone again at the holiday party next Friday.

I would like to thank everyone at Uken for being so accommodating during my placement.
